ANANTNAG: SSP Anantnag, Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, visited the cloudburst-affected Awoora Nallah area of Pahalgam to assess the ground situation following the cloudburst that triggered massive flash floods and caused significant damage to several residential structures, commercial establishments, and other properties.

During the visit, the SSP assessed the overall situation on the ground and was briefed by officers regarding the impact of the incident and the prevailing conditions in the affected area. He interacted with local residents and directed Police personnel to remain vigilant, maintain a strong presence in the area, and ensure seamless coordination with the district administration and other concerned agencies.

The SSP emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of vulnerable locations and instructed officers to remain prepared to respond promptly to any emergent situation. He also urged the public to remain cautious, avoid venturing into vulnerable areas, and strictly adhere to advisories issued by the authorities.

J&K Police remains committed to ensuring public safety and extending all possible assistance to the people during such emergencies while maintaining close coordination with all stakeholder agencies.
