NEW DELHI: The theme conceived by Honâble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi âEk Bharat Shresth Bharatâ has been released as a national integration song composed by music legend Pandit Bhajan Sopori and music maestro Abhay Rustum Sopori, and produced by All India Radio, Akashwani celebrating the 69th Republic Day of India. The most attractive feature of the song is that itâs the first ever song that features the Prime Minister himself. PM Modi has voiced the title âEk Bharat Shresth Bharatâ in the song.
Â
The aim of âEk Bharat Shresth Bharatâ is to celebrate the Unity in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds between the people of our Country, and to promote the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian States. Pt. Bhajan Sopori acknowledged the efforts of Sh. Fayyaz Sheheryar, Director General, Akashwani for initiating PMâs concept in the form of a song strengthening the cultural bond within the country and create an atmosphere of mutual love and respect for the motherland. He also said that this this song will further create an awareness of national integration and enrich our culture.
Â
Languages like Punjabi, Kashmiri, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese and Tamil have been included in the first version of the song covering various regions of the country. The song has been written by renowned Kashmiri writer Rafiq Raaz and sung by some of the most eminent singers of the country like Ustad Rashid Khan, Vidushi Bombay Jayashri, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Anwesha, Malini Awasthi, Kaushiki Chakraborty & Abhay Rustum Sopori.
Another unique feature of the song is that it introduces 3 new voices Shahbaz Gul & Masrat-Un-Nisa from Kashmir and Iqbal S. Qureshi from Gujarat. âItâs a great honour for all to feature in a song along with none other than the Honâble PM and also a major breakthrough for young talents getting their first ever break in such a prestigious production, and we am happy to include talented Kashmiri youth showcasing their talent to the worldâ, said Abhay Sopori. The song is available on the Sound Cloud channel of All India Radio on https://goo.gl/1JweNi and the video will be released soon.
