He elaborated on NABARD’s key initiatives in agricultural finance, Self-Help Group (SHG)–Bank linkage programmes, rural infrastructure development, and livelihood promotion, with special reference to the socio-economic context of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The visit provided students with first-hand exposure to the functioning of a premier development finance institution and facilitated meaningful interactions with senior NABARD officials on issues related to rural development policy, institutional finance, and grassroots economic planning.

On the occasion, Ms. Preeti Gupta, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Vishal, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, CUJ, formally felicitated Shri Vikas Mittal and expressed their sincere appreciation to NABARD for organising the interaction at short notice. They highlighted the significance of such institutional engagements in enhancing students’ practical understanding of development economics and public policy.
