• Temple Committee announces Hanuman Jayanti celebrations with Bhajan, chanting and community feast

JAMMU: A spiritually enriching Durga Stuti Path was organised at the Shiv Temple in Sector 7, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, attracting a large gathering of devotees from diverse sections of society. The event was conducted under the guidance of the temple management committee headed by Shiv Kumar Jolly. The temple premises echoed with devotional hymns and prayers dedicated to Goddess Durga, creating an atmosphere of peace, harmony, and deep spiritual connection among the devotees. Participants enthusiastically took part in the recitation, reflecting strong faith and collective reverence. The event served as a platform for spiritual awakening and encouraged people to reconnect with cultural values and traditions.

Importantly, such religious gatherings play a vital role in strengthening social cohesion and promoting a sense of unity and positivity within the community. They provide an opportunity for individuals, especially the younger generation, to engage with spiritual practices, thereby fostering moral values, discipline and inner peace in today’s fast-paced life.

On the occasion, the temple committee also announced arrangements for the upcoming Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, scheduled to be held on April 2 within the temple complex. Devotees have been invited to participate in the collective chanting of Hanuman Chalisa from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The committee has also made elaborate arrangements for a community feast (Bhandara), ensuring that all attendees can partake in the sacred meal, symbolising equality, service and shared humanity.

Prominent attendees included Vijay Vaid, Nimmi Sapru, Reeta Sharma, Shallu, Shashi Gupta, Mrs. Kapahi, Pandit Mohinder, Pandit Sethi, Pandit Vijay and Head Priest Pankaj Ji, who all contributed to the successful organisation of the religious event. The programme not only reflected deep-rooted devotion but also highlighted its broader social impact by fostering unity, encouraging collective participation, and reinforcing the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.
