ALIGARH: Maryam Haroon, a Class Third student of Our Lady of Fatima Sr Sec School Aligarh, observed her first Roza with great enthusiasm and dedication. The young student shared that she had long been inspired by her mother and her elder sister, Alisha Appi, who encouraged her to experience the spiritual beauty of fasting.

Despite feeling thirsty and hungry during the day, Maryam remained patient and determined. What makes her effort even more commendable is that she continued to prepare for her examinations and attended her tuition classes while observing the fast. She described the day as challenging yet deeply meaningful, saying that fasting taught her patience, discipline, and gratitude.

In the evening, her mother and sister lovingly helped her get ready for Iftar. Although the aroma of delicious food made the wait difficult, Maryam Haroon said the happiness of completing her first Roza was far greater. As the Azaan was called and she broke her fast, she felt proud and thankful.

Maryam Haroon expressed her wish to continue keeping Roza even during her final exams and said she felt truly happy to have completed this important spiritual milestone in her young life.
