GANDERBAL & SOPORE: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police in Ganderbal and Sopore, in coordination with the Revenue and Excise Departments, conducted separate joint anti-drug operations to eliminate wild cannabis cultivation.
In Ganderbal, a joint team carried out an anti-drug drive at Sheikh-Zoo under the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora, where wild cannabis (bhang) growing over a considerable area was identified and destroyed.
Similarly, in Sopore, joint teams of Police, Revenue and Excise Departments destroyed wild cannabis growing at Khushipora and Watergam, eliminating potential sources of narcotic substances.
These operations underscore the continued commitment of Jammu & Kashmir Police to eradicate illicit narcotic cultivation, curb drug abuse, and ensure a safe, healthy, and drug-free society through sustained enforcement under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan.
