In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained efforts against the menace of drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, police in Baramulla carried out a Wild Cannabis (Bhang) Destruction Drive in the Khaitangan area of Delina under the supervision of the Incharge Police Post Delina.

During the operation, naturally grown wild cannabis plants spread across the identified area were systematically destroyed to prevent their misuse in the production and consumption of narcotic substances. The drive was conducted as part of Baramulla Police's proactive strategy to eliminate the source of illegal drugs, strengthen preventive measures against narcotics, and safeguard the youth from the harmful effects of drug abuse.

The initiative received wholehearted support from local residents, who appreciated the sustained efforts of J&K Police in combating the drug menace and maintaining a safe, healthy, and drug-free society. Police reiterates its commitment to taking strict action against drug-related offences and appeals to the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any instances of illegal cultivation, trafficking, or abuse of narcotic substances. Public cooperation remains vital in achieving the shared objective of a Drug-Free Baramulla.
