In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

GANDERBAL: In continuation of its sustained campaign against drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, police in Ganderbal carried out a large-scale wild cannabis (bhang) destruction drive at Kurg and Tulmulla, in close coordination with the Revenue & Excise Department.

The operation was conducted under the close supervision of DySP DAR, DPL Ganderbal. During the drive, naturally grown wild cannabis spread over approximately 25 kanals of State land was identified and destroyed to prevent its misuse for the illegal cultivation, production, and trafficking of narcotic substances. The initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of J&K Police to eradicate the menace of narcotics at its source and to protect society, particularly the youth, from the devastating impact of drug abuse.

Police reiterated that the fight against drugs is a shared responsibility and appeals to the public to actively support the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan by reporting any information related to the illegal cultivation, possession, or trafficking of narcotic substances to the nearest Police Station. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
