JAMMU: In a significant step toward making quality eye care accessible to underserved communities, Sharp Sight Eye Hospital has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the People’s Hut Foundation. This strategic partnership aims to combine clinical expertise with grassroots outreach to tackle preventable blindness and provide critical healthcare interventions.

The formal signing ceremony took place at the Sharp Sight facility, bringing together key leadership from both organizations to solidify their shared commitment to community welfare. The MOU was formally signed by Mr. Chetan Sharma, Centre Head of Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, alongside Dr. Rohit Koul, Director and CEO of the People’s Hut Foundation.

The collaboration was heavily supported by the marketing and administrative leadership of Sharp Sight Eye Hospital. The signing was held in the presence of  Mr. Deepak Sharma (Deputy Manager Marketing),  Mr. Sahil Sharma (Asst. Manager Marketing) and Mr. Rahul Kumar (Sr. Marketing Executive), all of whom will play a pivotal role in driving the joint healthcare campaigns and awareness initiatives across the region.

Representing the People's Hut Foundation alongside the CEO were Dr. Ritu Koul, Director and COO, and Mr. Vikas Koul, Chief Advisor. Their presence underscored the foundation's dedication to integrating specialized vision care into their broader ongoing social relief, education, and health portfolios.

Under this new pact, both organizations will roll out a series of free eye screening camps, diagnostic drives, and subsidized treatment programs. By leveraging Sharp Sight’s state-of-the-art ophthalmic infrastructure and the People’s Hut Foundation’s extensive community network, the initiative is poised to deliver impactful, life-changing vision care to those who need it most.
