In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

KATRA: Air Wing NCC cadets of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) participated in the Annual Training Camp (ATC) held at Zorawar Training Academy, Udhampur. The camp provided cadets with comprehensive military and aviation training while promoting discipline, leadership, teamwork, and physical fitness.

The cadets began each day with rigorous morning physical training (PT) sessions and actively participated in competitive games that fostered team spirit and camaraderie. They also underwent intensive drill training, firing practice, and skeet shooting practice to enhance their military skills and confidence.

As part of the aviation training module, the cadets received hands-on exposure to flight simulator training and experienced microlight aircraft flying. They also attended sessions on core military and aviation subjects, enriching their knowledge of the armed forces and air operations.

The camp emphasized the holistic development of cadets through a series of guest lectures delivered by distinguished experts on topics including cybercrime awareness, career opportunities in the Indian Air Force, and field health and hygiene.

Congratulating the cadets, Lieut. (Dr.) Varun Dutta, NCC Coordinator, SMVDU, and Dr. Yati Aggarwal, In-charge, Air Wing NCC, stated that the Annual Training Camp provides an ideal platform for cadets to enhance their military skills, leadership qualities, discipline, and overall personality through structured training and practical exposure.
