AWANTIPORA: The two-day annual Innovation & Technical Festival, DynaMecX 3.0, concluded at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST). Organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the event celebrated creativity, technical excellence, and innovation, bringing together students, faculty, and dignitaries.
The festival was inaugurated by Prof. A.H. Moon (Dean Academic Affairs) and Dr. Kaiser Giri (Dean, School of Engineering and Technology), who emphasized the significance of innovation in engineering. A symbolic tree plantation ceremony underscored IUST’s commitment to sustainability, while a banner unveiling by drone added a dynamic technical touch.
Over two days, the event featured competitions such as CAD Mania, Technical Trivia, Squid Game, Treasure Hunt, MechanINK Artwork, and the Waste to Life challenge, among others. The Waste to Life event, coordinated by Dr. Mohammad Jebran Khan, won the Best Event Award for its creativity and impact.
University Finance Officer Mr. Sameer Wazir, Dean of Students Dr. Asifa Baba, and Dr. Giri applauded the participants and organizers for their efforts in showcasing IUST’s dedication to fostering innovation, teamwork, and creativity, setting a high benchmark for future editions. The jury for the events included Ms. Zoya Khan, Mr. Umar Farooq, and Dr. Monisa Qadri.
