KATRA: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) had the privilege of hosting students from PM Shri Government Girls Middle School, Jindrah, for an enriching campus visit. The visit was meticulously organized by the NSS and NCC units of SMVDU, ensuring a well-rounded and informative experience for the young visitors. The coordination of the event was led by NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, and NCC Coordinator, Dr. Varun Dutta, along with NSS & NCC Student Volunteers.
Throughout the day, the students, accompanied by their teachers, explored various state-of-the-art facilities within the university. They were given an in-depth tour of various labs, the central workshop, the central library, and the networking centre. The tour also included a visit to the university's impressive auditorium, where the students could envision themselves participating in future academic and extracurricular activities.
The visit served as a significant motivational boost for the students, encouraging them to aspire to join higher educational institutes upon completing their class 12th. Er. Deepak Byotra, Workshop Superintendent, along with the staff members, emphasized the importance of technical skills in shaping the future workforce. He welcomed the students and encouraged them to develop practical expertise alongside theoretical knowledge.
The volunteers briefed the students about different aspects of university life, workshop operations, library resources, and the network centre. They also highlighted the role of technical and professional skills in career development.Expressing enthusiasm about the initiative, School Incharge Shamash Din emphasized the importance of such visits in broadening studentsâ perspectives.
