DODA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of Samagra Shiksha scheme in the district. The meeting aimed to assess the scheme's execution and identify areas requiring improvement. The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Superintending Engineer (SE) PWD (R&B) Circle, Chief Education Officer (CEO), District Education Planning Officer (DEPO), concerned Executive Engineers (XENs), Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and other officials from the Education Department.
During the meeting, the DDC reviewed the progress of different components of the scheme, including infrastructure development, teacher training, student enrollment, and digital initiatives such as Aaghaaz Labs, Smart Classes, Computer-Aided Learning (CAL), ICT Labs, Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) and Solar Plant Systems. He also assessed the utilization of funds allocated under the scheme and directed officials to ensure their timely and effective utilization.
The DDC instructed the concerned ZEOs to inspect the CAL and ICT labs within their respective blocks and monitor private schools. He emphasized improving the quality of education across the district and directed officials to focus on student assessment and the enhancement of school infrastructure.
Furthermore, the DDC directed the officers and officials to ensure that all schools in the district have adequate infrastructure, including well-maintained classrooms, functional toilets, and proper drinking water facilities. The meeting concluded with the DDC urging all stakeholders to work diligently to achieve the objectives of the Samagra Shiksha scheme and ensure quality education for all students in the district.
