DODA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Harvinder Singh chaired a meeting here today in the Meeting Hall of his office to review the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar (Muft Bijli Yojana) scheme. The meeting aimed to evaluate the progress, address challenges, and devise effective execution strategies to ensure the schemeâs successful implementation in the district. Key officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Chief Planning Officer Doda, PO ICDS, ACD, ACP, XEN PDD, and vendors, attended the meeting.
MD JPDCL Jammu joined the meeting virtually. He briefed the meeting regarding the schemeâs benefits, power enhancement measures, and its potential for minimizing electricity bills.
The DDC directed the district officers to encourage employees of their respective departments to avail the scheme by informing them about its immense benefits. He emphasized timely execution, interdepartmental coordination, and extensive public awareness campaigns. He also instructed the XEN PDD to prepare a comprehensive presentation on the scheme to improve public understanding. Additionally, he directed district officers to ensure accurate record-keeping of electricity usage, billing details, and employee registrations under the scheme.
Additionally, formalities related to payment processing and other essential registration parameters were reviewed. The DDC instructed the XEN PDD to disseminate videos of individuals who availed the scheme to promote public awareness. He stressed the importance of boosting registration rates through IEC activities and awareness campaigns, ensuring that all government employees register within the stipulated timeline to maximize benefits under the scheme.
