DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh today conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing development works along the Chenab River Front at Ganpat-Pul. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of the project and assessed the quality and pace of the ongoing works. He interacted with the executing agencies and officials on-site, seeking detailed updates on the status of different components of the river front development, which aims to enhance urban aesthetics, promote tourism and create recreational space for the residents.
The DC directed the PWD (R&B) Department to expedite the remaining works and ensure that the project is completed at the earliest for public use. He also stressed proper planning, safety measures and long-term sustainability of the infrastructure. Officials from the PWD (R&B) Department, the Chief Planning Officer, Executive Officer Municipal Council and other concerned officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection.
