SRINAGAR: On the eve of Youm Ashura, NSS Unit 1 of Islamia College today organised facilitation camp at the Alamgari Bazar Chowk.  The camp served the mourners with fruit juices, water, lassi, tea, coffee and facility of mobile charging station. The college has been conducting this activity as a regular NSS activity and has been instrumental in strengthening the brotherhood in the community. 

The camp was led under the supervision of  Programne Officer of NSS, Dr. Shiekh Saheel Ahmed.  Principal of the college, Prof (Dr) Tehmina Yousuf visited the camp and apprised the team for conducting the activity meticulously and in an organised manner.  The camp was attended by the supporting staff of the college administration and NSS Volunteers.

The camp programme officer also highlighted the importance  of holding such events and said Islamia college has always been on the forefront of conducting the activities and providing refreshment camps at Kheer Bawani and on the occasion of Milad u Nabi (saw).  The NSS unit of the college will be conducting cleanliness drive immediately after the culmination of Ashura procession.
