JAMMU: Jammu & Kashmir BJP General Secretary and Headquarters Incharge Sanjita Dogra said that serving women and helping them get their genuine grievances heard and resolved is a privilege and a blessing for her.
She expressed these views during her weekly public grievance sitting at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan, Kachi Chawni, Jammu, where a large number of women from different areas of Jammu province had reached to seek help in resolving their problems.
During the sitting, the visiting women raised various issues concerning basic amenities, welfare schemes, pensions, healthcare, employment and other matters requiring attention of different government departments.
Sanjita Dogra patiently listened to their grievances and assured them that genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action and early redressal.
She was accompanied by former DDC Sharda Bhau, former BDC Bhaderwah Vipna Manhas and Jyoti Bhata, who also interacted with the visiting women and listened to their concerns.
Sanjita Dogra said that women shoulder numerous responsibilities in their families as well as society and sometimes require guidance and support in approaching the appropriate authorities for resolution of their problems.
She said that serving women is a privilege and a blessing for her. Whenever a woman comes to them with a genuine problem and hope of getting assistance, it becomes their responsibility to listen to her with patience, respect and sensitivity and make every possible effort to help her.
She said that regular public grievance sittings provide an important platform for people to directly approach party leaders and bring their day-to-day problems to their notice. Such interactions also help the party understand the issues being faced by people at the grassroots level.
Sanjita Dogra said that women have an important role in the social, economic and political progress of the country. Empowerment of women, she added, is not limited to providing opportunities but also means ensuring that their voices are heard and their genuine concerns receive due attention.
She assured the visiting women that their genuine grievances would be pursued with the concerned departments and every possible effort would be made to facilitate their resolution.
