HANDWARA: As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Police in Handwara organized a cleanliness drive under the banner “Clean India, Green India” at Magam. The drive was conducted by Police Post Magam in collaboration with the Rural Development Department and members of the civil society.

During the programme, the local Sports Ground Magam and its surrounding areas were thoroughly cleaned. The initiative aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness, environmental protection, and active community participation in keeping public spaces clean and green.

Police personnel, officials from the Rural Development Department, and local residents took part in the drive with great enthusiasm. The event not only transformed the area but also encouraged people, especially the youth, to contribute towards maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.
