SHOPIAN:  In compliance with the orders of the Hon’ble Court and in accordance with the provisions of Section 52A of the NDPS Act, ANTF Kashmir and Shopian Police, destroyed a significant quantity of seized contraband substances at Lassipora Pulwama.

The destruction was carried out at Kashmir Health Care System, Lassipora, under strict adherence to legal protocols and environmental safety standards. The contraband substances destroyed were seized in 18 different NDPS cases including 16 cases of district police Shopian and 02 cases of ANTF Kashmir.

The items included heroin, charas, poppy straw, cannabis powder and codeine phosphate bottles. The process was duly photographed and video-graphed for official record. J&K Police urges the community members to join hands in this fight by remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities related to narcotics.
