JAMMU: The Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences at the Central University of Jammu successfully organized a "Thursday Mind Meet" session on the groundbreaking topic, Harness the Solar and Electrochemical Energies under the patronage of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor CUJ.

The Thursday Mind Meet series, is an initiative by the Central University of Jammu under the convenorship of Prof. Vandana Sharma. It aims to foster intellectual discussions and interdisciplinary collaborations by inviting distinguished scholars to present their work on current scientific and technological issues.

The online session, featured an insightful presentation by Prof. Prabhakar Singh from IIT BHU, Varanasi, a renowned expert in the field of energy systems and materials science. Prof. Singh’s presentation shed light on the pivotal role that solar and electrochemical energy systems play in shaping a sustainable future. He delved into innovative approaches for harnessing solar power efficiently and the potential of electrochemical processes in energy storage and conversion.

His research emphasized the importance of integrating these technologies to meet global energy demands while reducing carbon footprints. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of students, faculty members, and researchers, who engaged in a lively Q&A session following the presentation. Prof. Singh's insights offered valuable perspectives on the applications of these energy systems in modern science and technology, inspiring many in the audience to explore further research opportunities.

Prof. Vinay Kumar, Dean Sciences and Head Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences, expressed gratitude to Prof. Singh for sharing his expertise, and highlighted the importance of such lectures in advancing the university's academic and research goals.
