The Migrant camps where Nukkad Nataks were organized on the topic ā€œElections - the pivot of democracyā€ include Jagti, Nagrota, Purkhoo and Muthi. The camp inmates participated in large number with great enthusiasm. Senior citizens present there highlighted the importance of voting and appealed to all especially the first time young voters to cast their vote in the interest of vibrant democracy.

It was emphasized that casting vote is not just a fundamental right but also a duty towards building a stronger democracy. It was propagated that every one participate in the festival of democracy by casting his/her vote to elect right representatives of choice, who can plead their cause in the Assembly.

The Relief Organization as part of SVEEP activities is organizing symposiums and poster competitions in migrant schools in the camp areas, besides rallies, tree plantation drive and nukkad nataks etc to promote voter awareness and literacy.
