DODA: The District Industries Centre (DIC) on Friday organized a seminar-cum-awareness camp at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Bhaderwah, to educate trainees about the Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) and the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
The event aimed to inspire youth to become job creators by taking advantage of government incentives. The seminar, held under the supervision of S. Paramjeet Singh, General Manager, DIC.
The General Manager motivated the trainees, emphasizing the importance of self-employment and financial independence. He encouraged students to take advantage of these schemes after completing their courses to start their own ventures with government support.
Industrial Promotion Officer (IPO) Neeraj Sharma gave a detailed presentation, highlighting the benefits and application procedures under the PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma Schemes.
The IPO explained that the PMEGP scheme provides up to 35% subsidy for aspiring entrepreneurs in the manufacturing and service sectors. He also sensitized participants about the eligibility criteria and benefits of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, designed to empower traditional artisans and craftspeople.
The event concluded with a Q&A session led by Functional Manager, Tej Krihan Koul, who addressed participantsâ doubts. The vote of thanks was presented to the ITI Superintendent, staff, and students for their active participation.
The students were highly inspired by the seminar and resolved to explore entrepreneurial opportunities using the benefits provided under the PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma schemes.
