JAMMU: Mission Shakti SANKALP HEW Jammu, Social Welfare Department staying true to its mission of empowering marginalized communities organised a special camp for skill development, rehabilitation and empowerment of Persons with Special needs at Village Sultanpur in Block Bishnah. The camp was held in collaboration with the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) Jammu and in partnership with the ALIMCO to impart training and tools that enable persons with disabilities to lead independent lives.
The event marked a significant step towards improving the quality of life of the persons with disabilities. Various essential prosthetic aids, including wheelchairs, motorized Tricycle, Hearing Aids, old age kits were distributed during the event, making mobility and accessibility easier for the beneficiaries. This practical assistance has proven to be life-changing for many individuals in the region.
