JAMMU: The Central University of Jammu under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, successfully concluded a five-day awareness program on Safety and Security today. The program took place in the University Auditorium and was coordinated by Mr. Balwan Singh, Security Officer.

The valedictory session was graced by HVC Prof. Sanjeev Jain as the chief guest, along with Prof. Yashwant Singh (Registrar), Mr. Mohd. Iqbal (Finance Officer, I/C), and Mr. Udit Mahajan (System Analyst). The event saw enthusiastic participation from teaching and non-teaching staff, research scholars, security personnel, and housekeeping staff.

The primary objective of the program was to enhance preparedness and response capabilities in the face of natural calamities, fire incidents, and other emergencies. Participants received hands-on training in basic life skills and essential safety protocols.

Mr. Anmol Gupta, Junior Engineer (Electrical), and Mr. Abhishek Sharma, Pharmacist, conducted sessions on electrical safety and health preparedness. Additionally, Mr. Balwan Singh, Security Officer, and Mr. Romi Rajput, Security Inspector, delivered practical demonstrations and training on fire safety, campus security, and emergency response protocols.

The program proved highly beneficial in fostering a culture of safety and awareness within the university community, ensuring that all stakeholders are better equipped to handle emergency situations effectively.
