GANDERBAL: Continuing its drive against social crimes, J&K Police in Ganderbal arrested Six gamblers and seized stake money along with playing cards from their possession.
Acting on a reliable information, a police party from Police Station Ganderbal swiftly raided the gambling site at Gadoora and apprehended the six gamblers on spot. They have been identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Ellahibagh Rangpora, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh son of Gh. Mohammad Sheikh resident of Zaina Kadal, Tariq Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat resident of Ellahibagh, Adil Ahmad Dar son of Mohd Ashraf resident of Ellahibagh Rangpora, Altaf Ahmad Kondu son of Gh. Mohammad Kondu resident of Buchpora Soura and Mushtaq Ahmad Malla son of Abdul Aziz Malla resident of Anchar Soura.
Officers have seized stake money of âč30,520/- and playing cards from their possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 179/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been initiated.
J&K Police remains committed to upholding law and order and will continue its crackdown on illegal activities in the area. Person found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per the law.
