RAMBAN: State Bank of India’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI) Ramban commenced a 30-day Women’s Tailoring Training Programme here to empower rural women with employable skills. During the month-long course, the women trainees would be imparted hands-on practical training, entrepreneurial knowledge and market awareness, thereby promoting income generation and self-employment opportunities in the district.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Naib Tehsildar Banihal Zakhir Hussain in presence of Director SBI RSETI S. Harvinder Singh. The Naib Tehsildar congratulated the enrolled women trainees and encouraged them to take maximum benefit from the training.  The Director motivated the participants to actively engage in learning and assured them of continuous guidance even after completion of the training.

He highlighted that after successful completion of the training, trainees will also be provided support in accessing credit linkages through various government-sponsored schemes to help them start their own tailoring units and become financially independent.
