RAJOURI: Director Health Services Jammu (DHSJ) Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar today visited Rajouri where he chaired a meeting to discuss healthcare related issues of the border District.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Medical Superintendents, Block Medical Officers (BMOs) and other senior health officials of the district. The discussion focused on assessing the overall functioning of health institutions, infrastructure status, human resource position and progress under the health programmes in the border district.
Dr. Zargar took a detailed review of NTEP, 102 108 referral audit, NCD, Maternal and Child Health (MCH) indicators, National Health Mission (NHM) schemes, Ayushman BharatāPMJAY and other flagship health initiatives. He directed the officers to ensure quality patient care, timely availability of medicines and strict adherence to standard treatment protocols.
The Director expressed concern over certain operational and logistic issues and instructed the concerned officers to resolve the same on priority. He emphasized the need for close monitoring, community outreach activities and better coordination among district and block-level teams to improve service delivery, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas of Rajouri.
Dr. Zargar also reviewed the status of infrastructure development works, staff strength and public health preparedness. He stressed the importance of maintaining proper sanitation in health facilities and ensuring a patient-friendly environment.
The Director appreciated the dedicated efforts of the health officials of District Rajouri and urged them to continue their commitment towards strengthening the healthcare system and achieving the goals of equitable and accessible healthcare for all. The meeting concluded with actionable directions to address district-specific challenges and enhance overall health service performance in Rajouri.
