SHOPIAN: An orientation programme for district officers was today held at Mini Secretariat, Shopian in order to aware the officers of line departments on the scheme's aims, targets and scope. District officers were briefed on their roles and responsibilities in implementing the scheme, ensuring its success and impact.
On the occasion, Additional Secretary, Labour & Employment Department, Shahid Mehmood apprised about the Mission Yuva. He said Mission focuses on empowering youth through education, skill development and employment opportunities.
The programme aims to reach one lakh youth in J&K, providing them with vocational training, placement and entrepreneurship support; it was apprised through PowerPoint presentation.
The Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar who chaired the program called upon officers to get acquainted with the scheme information and disseminate the same among the potential applicants.
He called for organising a mega awareness camp in the district within this month for promoting the prospects of the scheme by result oriented awareness. The program was attended by Principal, GDC Shopian, GM DIC, district officers of employment generation departments and others.
