SAMBA: A Mega Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening Camp was organized today here at Community Health Centre Gagwal as part of the ongoing NCD campaign. The camp was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Champa Thakur, in the presence of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vidhi Bhutial, Block Medical Officer Dr. Richa Arora and other staff.
Over 200 individuals were screened by a team of doctors, detecting 12 cases of hypertension and 8 cases of diabetes. Mid-Level Health Providers (MLHPs) from the Gagwal zones actively participated in screening the populations of their AAM centers and conducted awareness sessions on non-communicable diseases, emphasizing early detection and the importance of timely treatment. The camp aimed to enhance public awareness about NCDs and ensure early diagnosis and intervention, contributing to better community health outcomes.
