JAMMU: Apni Party's Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has strongly condemned the brutal killing of two Village Defence Group (VDGs) members in Kishtwar. In a statement issued here today, S. Manjit Singh said that the brutal act of the terrorists has created a situation that needs to be handled carefully to maintain peace in the region.
âThe innocent people are being targeted to destabilize the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir,â he said. He expressed his sympathies with the families of the VDG members and demanded that their next of kins shall be given Govt jobs. He lauded the role of the VDGs in protecting their respective villages and helping the security personnel to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
