BANDIPORA: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Bandipora and in collaboration with Education Department Bandipora organized Legal Awareness programme on Legal Service Authority Act, 1987 at Govt Boys High School Qazipora, Bandipora.
The programme was held under the supervision of Chairman DLSA Bandipora, Khalil Ahmad Choudhary and guidance of Secretary DLSA Bandipora, Iqbal Ahmad Akhoon. The program aimed to educate the participants about free legal aid and their legal rights.
Advocate Asif Iqbal and Advocate Aamir Shafi as Resource Persons, emphasized the importance of Legal Services Authorities Act of 1987 which aims to provide free legal services to the weaker sections of society. The act also aims to ensure that no citizen is denied access to justice due to economic or other disabilities. The programme was attended by Officers/officials, students of the said institution, PLVs and other participants.
