The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

SRINAGAR: People’s Democratic Front (PDF) President and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Friday extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, wishing peace, prosperity, and communal harmony across the region.

In his message, Hakeem Yaseen said Eid-ul-Azha is a festival of great spiritual significance that symbolizes sacrifice, compassion, and selflessness. He urged the people to uphold these timeless values and share the joy of the festival with those in need. “Eid-ul-Azha is not just a ritual, it is a powerful reminder of the need to rise above personal interests for the greater good. Let us dedicate this Eid to promoting brotherhood, helping the underprivileged, and healing the divides in our society,” he said.

Hakeem Yaseen emphasized that the true essence of Eid lies in empathy, unity, and service to humanity. He appealed to the people to remember the poor, orphans, and victims of conflict during the celebrations, and to extend support to them in every possible way. “This is a time to reach out to our neighbors, strengthen social bonds, and stand together as one resilient community,” he added.

The PDF President also expressed hope that the sacred occasion would inspire political and social leaders to rise above partisan considerations and work together for a peaceful and developed Jammu and Kashmir. He said the region has suffered for far too long and deserves lasting peace, inclusive governance, and meaningful socio-economic progress.

“As we bow our heads in prayer and offer sacrifice, let us also renew our resolve to build a just, equitable, and prosperous future for all,” Hakeem Yaseen said, while praying for an end to violence, economic hardships, and the suffering of common people.

He called upon the administration to ensure adequate arrangements for smooth and safe Eid celebrations, including availability of essential services, uninterrupted electricity and water supply, cleanliness around Eidgahs, and proper management at livestock markets. “I pray that this Eid brings peace to every heart, joy to every home, and prosperity to our beloved land. Eid Mubarak to all,” he added.
