• Says BJP conspiring to politically and democratically weaken J&K and the Nation.

JAMMU: Senior National Conference leader and Provincial President Jammu, Advocate Rattan Lal Gupta, said that the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference is not merely a political party but a movement and symbol of immense sacrifices, dedication, democratic struggle, secularism and unity i.e United we stand, divided we fall is a well- known proverb. The party has a glorious legacy of standing firmly with the people and safeguarding their political, social and economic rights.

Gupta said that generations of National Conference leaders and workers have made unparalleled sacrifices for the dignity, unity and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. The party has always upheld the principles of communal harmony, brotherhood, secularism and democratic values, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

He alleged that the BJP, instead of strengthening democratic institutions and addressing the genuine concerns of the people, is pursuing a political agenda aimed at weakening Jammu and Kashmir politically and undermining the country's secular and democratic foundations.

He further said that the BJP's policies of political confrontation, divisive politics and continued uncertainty over the restoration of full statehood have adversely affected public confidence and democratic aspirations in Jammu and Kashmir. The  dubious role of BJP in Maharashtra and West Bengal downgraded the spirit of democracy and the constitution  in India.

Rattan Lal Gupta asserted that the National Conference, under the leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Hon'ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, remains committed to protecting the interests of all regions and communities, strengthening democracy and ensuring equitable and inclusive development. He appealed to the people, particularly the youth, to recognise the historical contributions and sacrifices of the National Conference and stand united against divisive forces.

"National Conference believes in unity, brotherhood, democracy and inclusive development. No conspiracy can weaken a party whose strength lies in the trust, sacrifices and unwavering support of the people. The Jammu and Kashmir and the nation need unity, democracy development and constitutional justice, not political polarization and confrontation. The strength of India lies in its diversity and the democratic rights of its people. ," Gupta asserted.
