KATRA: The School of Mechanical Engineering (SoME) hosted an alumni interaction session with two distinguished alumni, AnketaJandyal (2018 Batch) from Cognizant Technology Solutions and Sonal Bhatia (2018 Batch) from Jindal Stainless Steel Limited. The event was aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing students with valuable insights into career paths, industry trends, and the skill sets needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Ms.AnketaJandyal, who is working as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant, shared her journey from the classroom to the corporate world. She discussed the technical and soft skills essential for thriving in the IT industry, stressing the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and effective communication.
Anketa's session was a powerful reminder of how perseverance and dedication can lead to success in the fast-paced technology sector. Ms. Sonal Bhatia, an Executive in Supply Chain at Jindal Stainless Steel Limited, also discussed her experiences in the manufacturing and logistics sector. Sonal emphasized the critical role of supply chain management in industrial operations and highlighted the importance of problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills. Her talk resonated with students interested in pursuing careers in supply chain and operations management, providing a real-world perspective on the industry's demands.
