CHAMBA PANJGRIAN, RAJOURI :  In a continuing partnership between the Indian Army and Dr. Rubia Bukhari's Cocoon Artistry Initiative, a weeklong workshop on cocoon artistry was recently held at Higher Secondary School Chamba Panjgrian in Rajouri district. This initiative, aimed at empowering the youth and women of the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Rubia Bukhari, founder of the Cocoon Artistry Initiative, alongside officials from the Gambir Battalion of Bimber Gali Brigade.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and teachers from the surrounding areas. The primary objective was to raise awareness about cocoon artistry and highlight its potential to foster self-sufficiency and economic growth within the community. The White Knight Corps played a significant role in organizing this workshop, underscoring the importance of skill development and the empowerment of local youth and women.

"This workshop is not merely a platform for learning but a step towards the long-term empowerment of our communities. By encouraging skills in cocoon artistry, we aim to provide sustainable income opportunities and pave the way for entrepreneurial growth among the people of Rajouri and Poonch," said Dr. Rubia Bukhari. Dr. Bukhari’s tireless efforts toward social welfare, combined with the Army’s commitment to community engagement, will contribute substantially to uplifting the region’s youth.

The workshop, held from November 4th to November 8th, included hands-on training sessions and guidance on various aspects of cocoon artistry. Participants expressed gratitude for this collaborative effort, commending Dr. Rubia Bukhari and the Indian Army for their dedication to local development.

Through this workshop, Dr. Rubia Bukhari’s Cocoon Artistry Initiative, in collaboration with the Indian Army, continues its mission to equip border communities with valuable skills, enhancing their socio-economic empowerment and fostering unity and progress across Rajouri and Poonch.
