DODA: Dronacharya Chenab Sports Academy organized a grand felicitation and appreciation ceremony at Rana Mall, Doda, to honor the achievements of athletes who excelled at the National, UT, and Divisional levels during the 2024-25 session.

The event celebrated young talents representing various sports disciplines, including SGFI Cricket, JKCA Cricket, Archery, Shooting, Boxing, Basketball, and Rifle Shooting. A total of 22 National-level players and 52 UT/Divisional-level athletes were felicitated with certificates of recognition for their outstanding performances.

The Chief Guest of the event, Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Harvinder Singh, applauded the athletes for their remarkable achievements and encouraged them to strive for excellence. He was accompanied by Guest of Honour, Dr. Arjun Singh, Physical Director of GDC Kastigarh.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the district administration's commitment to promoting sports and assured the academy of continued support in enhancing sports infrastructure and opportunities for athletes in Doda. Parents, sports enthusiasts, and community members attended the event in large numbers, celebrating the young athletes' successes with pride and enthusiasm.

The Director of the Academy, Bharat Bushan Chandail, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for his unwavering support and commended the dedicated efforts of the academy's coaches, including Khalid Hussain, Ashok Sharma, Ifroz Hussain, and Naresh Singh, in nurturing the players' talents. The program was coordinated by Vinod Bandral.
