In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground, in collaboration with the AI for Digital Readiness and Advancement (AIDRA), an initiative under DataL EADS, successfully concluded a three-day hands-on training workshop on the effective use of AI tools. The workshop, organized exclusively for students of the Design Your Degree Program, was designed to provide practical exposure to emerging technologies and their applications in academic and professional contexts.

The sessions were led by resource person Dr. Ravia Gupta, who guided participants through interactive exercises and demonstrated real-world uses of AI tools. The workshop was coordinated by Akash Kumar, Faculty at GCW Parade Ground, who ensured smooth execution and active engagement of students throughout the program.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Alpana Vohra, Dean of the Design Your Degree Program, remarked, ā€œThis workshop has been a transformative experience for our students. By engaging directly with AI tools, they have not only enhanced their digital literacy but also gained confidence to apply these technologies in innovative ways. Such collaborations are vital in preparing our students for the future of work and research.ā€

The three-day program concluded with enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from students, highlighting the importance of integrating technology-driven learning into higher education. This initiative reflects GCW Parade Ground’s commitment to empowering students with future-ready skills and underscores the value of partnerships with organizations like AIDRA and DataLEADS in advancing AI literacy and ethical practices.
