• Initiative Aims to Promote Kashmiri Language and Literature Among Students: President HAS

SRINAGAR: Halqa-e-Adab Sonawari (HAS), a renowned literary organization, is set to organize an Kashmiri Essay Writing Competition across all High and Higher Secondary Schools (except Zone Gurez) in Bandipora district on June 29, 2025. The event, aimed at promoting Kashmiri language and literature, will be held at various examination centers in Bandipora in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Bandipora.

“This initiative underscores the importance of nurturing mother tongue appreciation among young students, fostering linguistic pride and literary creativity”; stated President HAS. Meanwhile in an official communication, the Chief Education Officer, Bandipora, has directed all school heads to extend full cooperation to ensure maximum student participation.

Interested students can register for the competition by June 22, 2025, through a link to be provided by the organization. The top three winners in different categories will be felicitated at Halqa-e-Adab Sonawari’s Annual Day event in September 2025. Additionally, the competition syllabus will be shared soon after the registration process concludes.
