KISHTWAR: Under the overall supervision, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kishtwar, Javaid Ahmed Kichloo, all Govt and Private Educational Institutions of the district celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with enthusiastic spirit, today.
Nearly 800 government and private schools across the district united to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti with great fervor. Over 40,000 students participated in a variety of events aimed at honoring the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. The day was filled with activities designed to promote Gandhi Ji’s timeless values of non-violence, peace, and community service.
Schools hosted debate competitions focusing on Gandhi’s non-violence movement, where students passionately discussed how non-violence shaped India's struggle for independence. This was followed by a quiz competition that tested participants' knowledge about Gandhi Ji’s life and philosophies.
A painting competition was also organized, where students used their creativity to interpret Gandhi Ji’s contributions to India's freedom struggle. Through art, students were able to express their respect for the Father of the Nation, adding a unique and reflective element to the celebration. This district-wide celebration serves as a reminder of Gandhi Ji’s enduring legacy, inspiring the younger generation to follow his principles in their everyday lives.
