BANDIPORA: A team of Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Bandipora, led by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora, Anis Ahmad Wani conducted a rigorous enforcement drive across various areas of Bandipora to ensure compliance with traffic regulations and promote road safety with a special focus on preventing minors from driving.
During the drive, the team checked 133 Vehicles and Challaned 42 vehicles besides collected fine of Rs.35,000. The drive focused on checking violations such as overloading, improper documentation, non-adherence to safety norms and identifying violations of under age driving.
Speaking about the initiative, ARTO emphasized the department's commitment to ensuring safer roads and urged the public to adhere to traffic rules to avoid penalties and ensure public safety. He also emphasized the legal and safety risks associated with minors driving and reiterated the department’s commitment to address this issue.
He stated that the safety of our youth and the public is our priority and urged Parents to discourage their children from driving until they attain the legal age and obtain proper licenses besides also warned of stringent action against violators.
