JAMMU: A joint enforcement drive was carried out today at Gujjar Nagar by officers from the District Administration, Motor Vehicle Department, Police and Traffic Police to check traffic violations, particularly the issue of wrong parking which often causes congestion in the area. During the drive, around 100 vehicles were checked, resulting in 26 challans issued for various offences. A total of 11 vehicles were also seized on the spot. The expected fine collection from the challans stands at âč60,000.
The enforcement team included Tehsildar Jammu Khas Paramdeep Singh, ARTO Jammu Mohd Saleem Manhas, DTI Arjun, SHO Peer Mitha Raza Ali, MVI Azad Hussain, along with supporting staff from the concerned departments. It is informed that such drives will continue in the coming days to ensure smoother traffic movement and enhanced road safety.
