REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik, today chaired a meeting of the District Valuation Committee in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Reasi to review preparation and revision of Market Value for stamp duty rates proposed for the year 2025.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed proposals submitted by Sub-Division-level committees and directed the ACR and SDMs to revisit the proposed rates. The revision is to be based on current market trends and registration data from 2024. ACR Anshumali Sharma provided an in-depth analysis of the proposed rates, presenting the area-wise percentage enhancements for 2025.

The DC emphasized the importance of adhering to established criteria for rate fixation and instructed the officers to conduct a comprehensive review. She called for a classification of the rate structure based on area categories to ensure fair and accurate finalization of the stamp duty rates for the District.

Deputy Commissioner urged that promptly finalise the rates while ensuring transparency and alignment with market conditions. Meeting was attended by ADC Kulbhushan Khajuria, GM DIC Mohamad Anwar Banday, ACR Anshumali Sharma, SDM Katra Piyush Dhotra, SDM Mahore Mazzhair Hussain, SDM Dharmari Tariq Aziz and others.
