JAMMU: The Jal Shakti (Ravi Tawi Irrigation) Department is going to close Canals and distribution network for annual de-siltation and maintenance works. “It is hereby notified to all the concerned that Tawi Lift Irrigation Canal and Ravi Canal (including their distribution network) shall be closed from 10th January 2025, for execution of annual desitting/other works. The date for opening of the canals shall be notified separately” a notice issued here today stated. All the concerned Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers have been directed to ensure completion of all these works well before the scheduled opening of the canals.
