In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

RAMBAN:  In alignment with the Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 initiative, SBI RSETI Ramban organised a Plantation Drive today at Village Thopal, Batote. The environmental awareness program was marked by the active participation of 25 candidates from the Soft Toys Maker & Seller Training Program, along with the faculty of SBI RSETI Ramban and the Assessor from the National Academy of RSETI.

The primary objective of the plantation drive was to promote environmental sustainability and cleanliness initiative of District Administration Ramban, while involving the local community and trainees in meaningful eco-friendly activities. The participants planted a variety of saplings, including fruit-bearing and native plants, aimed at enhancing greenery, improving biodiversity, and contributing to the overall environmental health of the region.

During the program, Harvinder Singh, Director of SBI RSETI Ramban, emphasized the significance of such initiatives under the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign. He said, “Cleanliness and greenery go hand in hand in creating a healthy and sustainable environment. This plantation drive not only helps in beautifying the village but also serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility toward nature.”

The trainees from the Soft Toys Maker & Seller program actively participated by preparing the plantation sites, planting the saplings, and ensuring their proper care through watering and fencing. Their enthusiasm and commitment to the cause were widely appreciated by the villagers and officials present.

The Assessor from the National Academy of RUDSETI commended SBI RSETI Ramban for its dedication to integrating environmental conservation with skill development. He remarked, “This plantation drive highlights the importance of combining vocational training with community service, instilling values of sustainability and responsibility in the trainees.”

The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to protect the saplings and encourage others to engage in similar activities. This initiative reflects SBI RSETI Ramban’s dedication to not only imparting skills but also nurturing a sense of environmental and social responsibility among its trainees.
