JAMMU: Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, the biggest multi campus Sanskrit deemed university in the world, established by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has invited Mushtaq Kak, as an observer in Natyamahotsava for promoting skills and talents of students of university. Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthanis a world organization to assist, formulate and implement various central plans and schemes for development of Sanskrit studies in country and abroad.
Mushtaq Kak , Sangeet Akademi Awardee and senior theatre director of the state holds distinction to be only one from the state to represent in the Natyamahotsava. âThis is a life time achievement as the Natyamahotsava is a world affair in which high elite theatre personalities will be representing. I am one among the lucky representatives worldwide who will be observers at the Natyamahotsava,â said Mushtaq Kak .
He added that this chance he will be availing also to disseminate among the participants the great diverse culture and heritage of Jammu and Kashmir which will go long way in highlighting the state on international level. At present Sansthan is functioning with 13 campuses at different parts of the country with its head quarter office at New Delhi. Prakash Javadekar, Minister for Human Resource Development, Govt. of India is the Chancellor and Parameswara Narayana Shastry is Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Near about 400 students will be participating in this festival and perform their inherent talents. The Inter Campus Sanskrit Natyamahotsava will be held at Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University), Guruvayoor Campus, Kerala from Mar 8 to Mar 10. Mushtaq Kak, former director Shree Ram Centre for Performing Arts, has been a regular observer, judge and coordinator of various national theatre festival held in past in different state of the country and was one leading Indian theatrist whose three plays were screened and witnessed by representatives of 80 countries in Global Culture Summit at Abu Dhabi held in 2017.
He was also one of the eminent members of screening committee of Theatre Olympiad 8, an international theatre festival organized by Culture Department, government of India and National School of Drama.
