UDHAMPUR: NSS Unit, in collaboration with department of EVS, Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur, organized plantation drive of indigenous plants in the premises of the College, today. The plantation drive was organized under able guidance of Principal of the College, Prof. Hans Raj in which large number of students participated.

Principal appreciated the efforts and aware the students about the ecological benefits of indigenous plants. He also deliberated the role of youth in motivating the society about the benefits of green earth. In the drive, Principal, staff members, Forest department officer and students planted 15 saplings in the College. Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, NSS Programme Officer and Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Mir from Department of EVS were organizers of the event. The faculty members, Dr. Rekha, Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Dr. Akhter Hussaian, Dr. Mahima Bhagat, Swati Sharma and Dr. Muntazir (PTI) also accompanied the drive.
