SRINAGAR: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Kreeri & Khasipora Baramulla, Police have seized five tractors and arrested their drivers. Police parties under the supervision of SDPO Pattan and SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHO PS Kreeri & IC PP Kungamdara, seized 5 tractors & arrested 5 drivers identified as Yaseen Ahmad Malik son of Habibullah resident of Chak Dargam Pattan, Tawseef Ahmad Hajam son of Mohd Ramzan resident of Ussan Pattan, Adnan Ahmad Bhat son of Showkat Ahmad resident of Palpora, Tanveer Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Mohd resident of Hurandpora Pattan & Yasir Ali Dar son of Mohsin Dar resident of Kripalpora Payeen Singhpora.

They were involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and accordingly cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kreeri & Pattan and investigations have been initiated.
