  • Says Party will put up fight against drug addiction; committed to fulfill demands of PoJK

NOWSHERA (RAJOURI):  Apni Party today took out an impressive road show in Nowshera to showcase strength of the Party and expressed gratitude to the people for extending their support to the contesting candidate of the Party from Rajouri – Anantnag Parliamentary seat, Zafar Iqbal Manhas. The impressive road show was taken out by the Party leaders from Nowshera Bus Stand up to Jahangir Chowk under the leadership of the Provincial President of the Party, S. Manjit Singh and other leaders.

The roadshow was part of the Party’s campaign in support of Zafar Iqbal Manhas, who has received overwhelming response from the cross section of society, and the people have expressed their faith in the Party's candidate for the Rajouri – Anantnag Parliamentary seat of the Apni Party. Large numbers of people from all the sections of society participated in the procession that was taken out in support of the Party’s candidate, Zafar Iqbal Manhas sahab.

While speaking on the occasion, S. Manjit Singh appreciated the people for their unconditional support to the Party candidate for the Rajouri – Anantnag Parliamentary seat and assured them that the Party would work as per the expectation of the people in the parliamentary seat. He also said that if Zafar Iqbal Manhas gets elected to the above said parliamentary seat, the Party would ensure that Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote get District Status.

“The people of the area have faced disparity regarding development, poor health, and educational sectors. The people suffer because they have to travel for long hours to reach the district headquarters which is far away from their respective areas. Hence, the Party stands with the demand of the people so that Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote get District Status,” he added, while assuring all support from the Party and its leadership.

He said that the Party is committed to ensure justice to the people of these remote areas and their decades old demand is accepted. He accused the traditional parties of ignoring the popular demands of the people and depriving them of their basic rights to get proper road connectivity, electricity, clean drinking water, quality education, and health sector.

He criticized the traditional parties, and their leaders who were elected to power for the last seven decades and did nothing for the people of Pir Panjal. He said that the potential of tourism should have been explored, and employment generation programs should have been introduced, but nothing was done by the traditional parties.

“However, if the Apni Party gets elected from this parliamentary seat, we will ensure the people get their due share in development, and the youth get employment,” he added. Expressing his anguish over the drug menace, he said that the Party is committed to curb the drug menace and the main kingpins involved in the drug trade which has destroyed the future of the young generation.

He said that the Party has taken a tough stand on drug addiction, and its smuggling for which the time has come to get united to protect the future generation. Asking the people to support Zafar Iqbal Manhas, he said that the response which the people have extended to the Apni Party candidate in Rajouri is tremendous and assured that the Party will represent every single person in the parliamentary segment in the Lok Sabha and their issues would be resolved.

He also referred to the issues of Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) Displaced Persons and assured them that the Party has continuously worked for their welfare and highlighted their demands in the Party. He said that the Party wants to give proprietary rights to PoJK/Refugees, and to the allottees of Custodian land in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the people who have protected these properties and invested their hard-earned money after living there for decades after their displacement from different places, shall get their rights and hence, the Party stands with their demand. The issue of growing unemployment, and rail link is also in the Party's agenda that would be addressed accordingly, he added. The road show was organized by the Constituency Incharge of Nowshera, Vicky Sudan.
