BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla conducted a TII Contingency Response Lockdown Rehearsal at Baramulla Town Bus Stand to check the preparedness and response of security and emergency agencies during a simulated emergency situation.
The rehearsal was conducted under the supervision of SP Operations Baramulla and coordinated by DySP Operations Baramulla. The exercise focused on testing response time, communication, coordination and the ability of different teams to work together during an emergency.
The rehearsal saw active participation from SOG Baramulla, SOG Sheeri, CRPF 53 Bn, OCAPS Baramulla, 46 RR, BSF112 Bn, Police Station Baramulla, Police Station Sheeri, Police Post Old Town, Fire & Emergency Services, GMC Baramulla, MI room DPL Baramulla, BSD/AST/PSK9, SDRF Baramulla along with other concerned personnel.
The exercise also helped identify gaps and areas requiring improvement in the existing response system. The participating teams reviewed their preparedness and coordination to ensure a quick and effective response to any contingency. Police will continue to conduct such exercises to further strengthen preparedness, coordination and public safety.
