SOPORE: Continuing its series of sports and youth engagement activities under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026-27, Police in Sopore inaugurated a Volleyball Tournament at Government High School Dooru, Sopore.
A total of eight teams from across Police District Sopore are participating in the tournament, providing young players a platform to showcase their talent and compete in a positive sporting environment. On the opening day, three matches were played with enthusiasm and true sporting spirit.
The tournament follows the Handball Tournament recently organised at Khushal Sports Stadium, Sopore, as part of a series of sporting events being conducted by Sopore Police under CAP 2026-27.
These initiatives are aimed at connecting with youth, encouraging local sporting talent and providing better platforms to showcase their abilities, besides channelising their energy towards positive and constructive activities and strengthening police-public relations at the grassroots level.
Police will continue to organise sports and youth-oriented activities across the Police District under CAP 2026-27, creating meaningful opportunities for young people and encouraging greater participation in sports.
